I wouldn't worry about the glow plug, especially in summer. I personally don't have any glow plug problems, but there are others on this forum who do have a glow plug or two down and aren't in any hurry to replace it. The low rail pressure is *probably* due to three of your injectors rejecting most of the fuel that they are sent, the fuel is just flowing through them so fast, not enough pressure is being built up in the rail. This is more of a guess on my part than actual knowledge. Can anyone confirm or deny this theory?

Boy. How did I not see that comment? It is not at all unusual for things like cam sensors to get finicky with temperature extremes before they fail completely. Has the cam sensor been replaced??? If not, it's not an expensive part. Even if it isn't the problem having a spare on board is not a bad thing. vic

I have 2 06's and run them on 100% Bio in the summer and never have a problem. Those 5 cylinders love it. I had a hard start problem after the truck was hot and thanks to the forum I tested injectors and found too much blow by. Replaced injectors myself and they cost me $1400.00. They came out pretty easy and truck ran fine. I also make my own and run Bio in my 2004 Jetta(46 mpg),2007 Silverado Duramax, and my 2008 Sprinter with no problems. They only problem that is expected is that when you start using Bio you will foul out several filters until all the crap is cleaned out of your system and it will amaze you how much crud will come out of your system. After that all is fine.
