EDIT: The square indentations along the centre join are in fact vent holes - or would be if they weren't clogged with crap!
A few seconds with a thick feeler gauge has fixed that problem.

I also removed the sliding door step cover and found it to be rust free. Lots of twigs and dirt and quite a few chipboard screws (I dropped a packet in the back some months ago, guess I didn't find them all). Oh and a bullet, unused, appears to be about .22 calibre. Probably a relic of the previous owners

Now that my confusion over oil filter prices is resolved, decided to finish cleaning out the van.
A couple of months ago, I had a flat tire and after getting it fixed, left the spare in the back of the van thinking, 'When I get a minute, I'll put this back where it belongs, underneath'

1 Minute? try 30! I had to resort to using a crowbar as a lever so I could get the jack under it to lift it into place. Perhaps if the van hadn't been parked on a 45 degree slope ...

Next time I have to replace it, I'll buy a slab* and invite a couple of mates over

* Slab
A carton of beer. Or box of 24 stubbies or cans

Well the lift jack was at home, But if you saw the load I had on my van today all 4.2 Metric tonne there was 1 inch clearance at the base of the tow bar tongue. and sinking fast into a tempory road. even took ph pics Lol's
and there is another load tomorrow all other vehicles are on site are 4x4's 'that made me laugh even more The Sprinter rules the back blocks.

Installed Fiamma 12' Awning, very easy to install I had factory roof tracks. Spent more time on removing old brackets for power ladder rack.

I hauled home a 660lb pallet of Lifeline 8D goodness. Thanks to Marc at Centex Batteries.

Looks a little over engineered for your Sprinter conversion.

Drove it back from three days of dirtbiking in the mountains

Saw them testing a Ducato Fiat in the mountains (they do that a lot around here... test vehicles on the defined grade up to the Einsenhower tunnel - I see vehicles wrapped in "funny black bras" almost every day) .

Note the Michigan plates.

No offense to anyone that likes them.. but holy crap its an ugly van. I don't know why but I just can't stand how the front end looks.
