I have a 03 2500 high roof 158" running kelly safari m+s 225.75r/16" load range d tires on the front. The right front is down pretty far on tread and the right front is about brand new. Is it safe to run a differant tire brand on the right front if the tread pattern looks about the same.
want to replace with a michelin ltx a/s 225 75 r16 load range e. Just for a while until I can get some rubber. Thanks Jeff |

Opinion only : All tire changers and tire manufacturers recommend you never mix tire models .
In your case I personally would, if money is limited and current tires are at such different tread depths, making them more equal may be safer, but replacing both front is better, and using 1 old as your spare |
