Default I hate learning through mistakes.

Well as usual the phrase "Learn as you go" is still another way of saying "Great, now that you
broke that, we will be fixing that for free and costing the shop money."

Today I was replacing the cables behind the a/c vent controls that attach to the vent doors
in the dash. Putting everything back together was just all fine and dandy... until the end.
I inserted the Central door locking switch back to what I thought was its original connector.
When I heard popcorn cracking and smoke from switch I knew it was not a bad case of flatulence. Apparently looking at the connector right next to it, the one I should have connected the door lock switch to, had the same freaking connector, just pins located in a different spot.
Yea I hooked up the ASR switch conenctor to the central locking switch...

It just needs a new switch thankfully after performing tests and checking fuses, but being that we are a new sprinter dealer, we have almost no parts in stock, and parts are almost never one day away... Yea my service advisor knows how to make me smile.
As long as Im told over and over again on how I messed up by everyone, maybe I will learn to learn about these cars by not making mistakes.

*sigh* Some day.

Not me. I'm perfect. I don't make mistakes.

Mistakes are part of learning.

Do you know *exactly* how tall your van is? Measure it and write the height on your sun visor. Don't make the same mistake I did!

Good judgement comes from experience. A lot of that experience is the result of bad judgement.
