Sorry for the delays answering. I thought I was subscribed but I used the wrong e-mail address.
Photos of the inside from the manufacturer's brochure are at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/589354/van.zip. Ours looks much the same except that it has no television. Before the conversion to 4WD we got 19.5 mpg. It gets less now but I have not driven it enough to know how much less. As I understand it, to import this into the States all you need to do is get the paperwork right and pay a duty of 25%. If I can sell it quickly, I am willing to discount the price enough to make this feasible. |

We need to get rid of this quickly. I am dropping the price to C$35,000, sold as is. Note that this is the NADA wholesale price for the 2WD version of this without a winch. The van has some minor things wrong with it but nothing major that I am aware of, and it has not been in an accident. We are the original owners.

There is something that sounds fishy about this! Dropping the price from $65K to $35k on something that would at first glance seems to be a bargain at the first price. One might wish to know more about the conversion and why you are selling it.
Sorry for the skepticism Icarus |

Your skepticism is warranted. We actually dropped the price in stages elsewhere. There is no serious problem with the vehicle but there is a minor problem that makes it difficult to sell: some of the warning lights come on for no apparent reason. If we had the time and inclination we would try to get more for it but we have neither. If anyone is interested in the thing, I shall be happy to give him the name and phone number of a mechanic (who is also an electrical engineer) who checked out the conversion thoroughly and knows it well.
We are selling it because Salem-Kroger took so much longer to do the job than they promised that we lost its use for three winter holidays (after purchasing the arline tickets!) and needed to get a lawyer involved. Now, although the van is white, every time we look at it we see red. Last edited by maurerc; 04-15-2011 at 12:41 AM. |
