Default rough idle and black smoke

Hey everyone. Great Forum. Lots of useful info.
Can I get some input. 05 sprinter 140 high top 150,000 miles. Sudden rough idle and then noticed black smoke on acceleration. Took it to diesel shop and they said it was a bad injector. they replaced it but still have the same problem. I used a pocketscan plus tool and it came up with 4 codes. P0671, P0672, P0673 and P0380. It seems these all have to do with glow plugs. I am going to order a DAD unit but till it gets here, any ideas as to where I should be looking? Could it just be a bad tank of diesel fuel? Thanks, JR

Hi, I am having the same problem with my 2005 sprinter. Rough idle and black smoke. sometimes I can smell diesel fuel while I am driving. I had the injectors checked and they are all fine. I changed fuel filter and air filter but I am still having same problem. Can anyone help?

check the MAF.
Note: the $50 replacement MAF on Ebay allows the van to run, but not really well. I tried one, was getting smoke when gunning it in park. Cleaned the old OEM MAF and put it back on, no smoke.
