Well, maybe it looks like it's starting here in the U.S.A. I saw on the news wire that the Gov has already set aside $1.2 Billion for warranty coverage if Chrysler and or GM falters.

:idunno:I wonder if We'll need to take Our Sprinters to the local Gov. motor pool for service.
Is there a mileage limit for a tow under the warranty coverage?
Are they required to tow it back to You ?

I can easily walk away from My paid deposit for the '09 due to ship from Germany on 4/26, but I really want the van, that said, I just I'm not going to get stuck with a non-well supported vehicle, so I'll walk if needed.

Wait until the 30th for a clear picture to emerge by Chrysler.
The current Obama admin has promised warranty's will be honored:hmmm: as to what the definition is to the exact specific's I have no idea,:idunno: nor most likely has any one else, at this point of Juncture.

The Sprinter won't go away trust me on this one. Damlier has huge investments in the N/American sector including Mexico so a mess for a while maybe, but it could be the best thing that has happened at your end for a long, long time If Damlier is thinking strategically as to to move I'm thinking of..no conspiracy just good corporate business practices.
Don't give up on your dream, by just hearsay negativity and speculation ..hang five.

I agree with Chris:....Look at freightliner division and what Damlier has been up to in the last three years, with investments and rebuilding with modernization. position, position, position.

Three business days and still nothing ... well maybe still a faint pulse.
If you type in a incorrect page address, for example: http://thinkcuv.com/index.html ... the site still responds with a valid error page. But if you try any links on that page, all return a web page with an empty HTML Body or an HTTP 500 error.
http://www.thinkcuv.com/index.asp [Empty Page]
http://mydealer.thinkcuv.com/ [Empty Page]
http://www.thinkcuv.com/Legal_Disclaimer_&_Privacy [HTTP Error 500]
http://www.thinkcuv.com/Site_Map [HTTP Error 500]
http://www.thinkcuv.com/Contact [HTTP Error 500]
http://www.thinkcuv.com/Media [HTTP Error 500]

But my favorite is the following meta tag from the error page header:
'meta name="isalive" content="WebSalesTool is Alive!"'

I'm calling my Freightliner rep tomorrow to find out what he knows about this.

I'll rationalize my obsession for ChryslerVan's every move by stating that I've had my 2009 Freightliner Sprinter ordered since mid-January, and it's due to ship from South Carolina in late May. When the banks, unions and the Obama Administration see how wonderful my Sprinter van is:drool:, they may just fight to take possession of it and let the rest of Chrysler fade away.

I just got off the phone with my Freightliner rep. He has no idea what is going on with the web site. He said he uses that web site for sales purposes and thinks there must be a major problem with the system. He doesn't think it is intentional. I asked him if he contacted his ChryslerVans rep, and he told me he did send an email. However, ChryslerVans got rid of their mid-Atlantic rep and Northeast rep, so now his contact is the Great Lakes rep, and that person has about 600 dealers to cover. Maybe ChryslerVans got rid of their IT staff too.

i don't know how to link- but when i put fl-sprinter.com in search on MSN search

the fifth or sixth listing is for domain.com and it says fl-sprinter.com is now an available

domain name to be purchased.

After further investigation, the fl-sprinter.com domain name registration expires April 10, 2011, and the thinkcuv.com domain name registration expires on 7/23/2010. The developer of the ChryslerVans Freightliner Sprinter on-line configurator is North Gate Lab's WebSalesTool division. See www.websalestool.com and click on "Portfolio" in the left-hand sidebar. The WHOIS record for the thinkcuv.com domain shows a North Gate Labs contact for this domain, and the IP address of the www.thinkcuv.com server is registered to North Gate Labs, so it is very likely they host the Freightliner Sprinter web app. If that is the case, then there could be a variety of reasons why the web site is devoid of conflict. Hopefully ChryslerVans is still paying its vendors.

All freightliner and associated partnerships of Damlier's global LLC web-site-operations are fully active in the US Mexico and Canada, either via Damlier Germany US LLC or independent direct sites.
the link for Fl-Chrysler link which is on the Daimler site; the URL direct is dead? it may be a cost cutting exercise to reduce expenditure costs of non essential activity sites by Chrysler.
Damlier: up until the 8th of April 2009; have made no requests for further cost cutting on the N/American side.
To get to the bottom of this inquisition you contact for The N American LLC side is Amy Sills
