shiftmatic

hi , i have a vw crafter with shiftmatic gearbox tha same as sprint shift, and i can not select reverse gear until i have done around 30 40 miles, any help will do

Best to ask European specialist mechanic or VW dealer or VW forum.
If I had to GUESS, it may be metal sludge buildup in fluid, or low fluid level, or shift rod's connecting joint is worn
