With regards to the sliding door lower bearing , I have just had a brain wave . Hold on to your hats boys , here we go .....
![]() Measure the width of the track & measure the stub on the arm the bearing sits on . Run with these dimensions to a bearing supplier & ask for a bearing of those dimensions in stainless steel that is either 2z or 2rs as these are sealed bearings . A little work with a hacksaw & you could create a circlip ( snapring ) groove to stop the bearing coming off . You might even find a supplier who can provide nylon bearings , but i think stainless steel is the way forward OK men I want a reply from someone with a bearing code soon ( codes are 6003-2rs / 6302-2z for metric bearings & sprinters are metric )Now i have solved yet another sprinter problem I am off to lie down & rest my brain . Mine needs doing , but the damn thing is full & working every day as a service barge for cleaning machines . Anyone who uses this idea is more than welcome to post me beer tokens ( CASH ) just ask for my snail mail address more than happy to oblige Crap ,,, just noticed someone else had the same idea ,earlier .... oh well .... more beer i suppose Last edited by Dingo; 04-02-2012 at 07:01 PM. |
