I found a 2007 model passenger van with about 190K on it. Wondering what your thought on it are:
Value? How does this model year compare to more recent NCV3s? I had wanted an older 5 cylinder because of fuel efficiency and I have hard better reliability. Any thoughts? Thanks, in advance, Mark |

I have done so much research I think I'm dizzy on this issue. I have an 06 T1n currently. Looking to get 07 or newer because of the driving ergonomics and other comforts that the newer vans offer. It seems it comes down to a little luck, good maintence, and personal preference. At least that is what I have determined after reading 300+ pages of comments regarding repair issue with both vans.

I have had 2005- 06 and 07...
The 05 had head issues with blowing the injector out of the threads. The resonator turbo loss and a few other things. Over all not too bad... I mean blowing the injector out is bad but the engine wasn't blown or anything. The 06 has been a great truck with only a couple of the common issues early on (turbo resonator and a busted drive belt pulley...) The 07 has been a real headache for me. I have had the egr issues (went through 3), DPF issues, rust issues, rear axle replacement and on and on. It was ordered right at the beginning of the year in 07 and with model changes it tough to be the beta testers. I'm not saying that all 2007 sprinters are bad. I might have just gotten a crappy one. I do know that it costs more to maintain a 2007 than it does a 2006 and earlier. |
