Wrong EGR Valve for Sprinter 2007

I ordered an EGR valve via this site http://www.dodge-auto-parts-dealer.com/parts.htm for my 2007 sprinter 3.0L Turbo Diesel. Yesterday, I received the Valve wich you can see the picture below. I told them that this was the wrong valve and they tell me that it is the valve that they have in reference to their parts catalog for Sprinter 2007. I have sent a photo of the right valve. They told me they have contacted Chrysler and Chrysler has said that there is an alternative reference for my Sprinter. They try to make me believe that my sprinter is exceptional. Can you confirm that this valve doesn't fit on any sprinter in 2007. Do you know for what vehicle it is? The Reference number I can see on it is WAHLER MK1 - 2000241 - A 642 140 07 63 - ENAC-43000K. Thanks for you help.

That looks like a correct part for your '07 Sprinter Diesel but that is (obviously) not the EGR valve. It is the EGR cooler bypass valve actuator. Doktor A

I understood their error. On the page 334 of keith's catalog entitled " EGR valve and Related Parts " the EGR valve is not represented. The valve they sent me by mistake is EGR cooler bypass valve actuator (number 13). The valve EGR is represented to the page 196 of the catalog entitled "Intake Manifold" (number 18).
Thanks for your help.

Thanks Christian. That is why I get the dealer to verify the part and look at his screen before I order.

It would be good to have a list of changes. I always thought the number would stay the same and the AA would change to AB or BB. So much for what I thought.

Incrementing the final character (example changing "AB" to "AC") would make sense, Keith; that's a fatal first assumption.

The MB USA Electronic Parts Catalog and http://starparts.chrysler.com/home/MBChry.pdf are probably the best reference tools for now to double check against old versions of the electronic catalog PDF files available from, say http://www.sprinterparts.net.

Chrysler's not obligated to provide owners with parts catalogs and apparently, Chrysler business leaders do not think it's in their best interest to do so.
