Does anybody have any experience using http://www.alldatadiy.com/ They are a subscription based on line repair manual, the prices are $25.00 for one year or $45.00 for three years. A freind of mine that owns a vechile repair shop uses the pro version that they pay something like $225.00 a month for unrestricted access to there data base. I was clicking around there site on the Sprinter manual section and was Very impressed on the amount of info. It seems so much easier to find what you are looking for and easier to follow diagnostic procedures than the repair and parts manuals that are avaible from DC. I dont know if the diy side has as much info but for $25.00 it might be worth a try.

Tim:

I did at one point in 2003 when I needed access to service manual pages quick. It works if you're only looking for certain pages and am not looking to download the entire service manual. It works best if you own an auto shop and need the latest and greatest at your finger tips.

For me, I would put that money into a good service manual in cdrom format (pdf) so that I can have access to it without resorting to the internet. I usually scour the internet for tsb/recalls and I've been very lucky at finding them. If it's a big enough recall, the manufacturer will let you know. I'm still waiting for that postcard in the mail that says to bring down my Sprinter to the nearest dealer so that they can reprogram my transmission to rid of that every so slight rsn. :smirk:

$25 for the year is not bad if you want to try it out. You can always mooch off of your friend. I doubt they have special privileges/access to specific data. :idunno:

Hi: We have a shop and use several of these "troubleshooter" sites. They work wonderfully for unusual problems. I'm not sure it would be worth the cost to a private party, but we are very happy with the information. Saves lots of time and money to the customers.

Hope this helps,

Jo Anne
