Assyst reset and results

This locked thread is for displaying actions and results when delving in the reset screens and menus. I will start another thread for suggestions and reporting results (Suggestions and Results for Reset Assyst (http://www.sprinter-source.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8114)). It is for vehicles with and without steering wheel buttons.

When entry into the screens is discovered for vehicles with steering wheel buttons I will post it.

I would caution all that the results of actions we take while in these screens is for the most part unknown to us at this time. We are all TEST PILOTS. BEWARE!!!


1. Put the key in the ignition and switch it on without starting the engine.
2. The ASSYST mileage will show, when the mileage shown returns to the vehicle mileage, hold the O button down till you hear a beep (could take a while)
3. As soon as you hear the beep, press the M button repeatedly and a number of reset menus will appear. Select "reset 51" (don't know what the other reset menus are for)
4. At reset 51 press the O button until a number 2 appears, release the O button, then press it twice and the LCD should show "display reset done"

Still no joy on vehicles with steering wheel buttons, but several members continue to work on this issue. If there is a way I feel confident they will find it.

Thanks go to member March for taking the time to post the Canadian pictures.

There are differences in some of the screens and other than volt, fuel icon, and oil quantity screens no one knows why :thinking:…Yet :smirk:

Still waiting to hear from our European members.

Thanks to HappyFamilyvan for this as of know untried ASSYST reset for vehicles with steering wheel buttons.



High line cluster Workshop Menu access
–Ignition “on”
–Arrow button up until “Service scope in XXX”appears
–Press “O”button on IC and hold, release after the beep
–Press lower left steering wheel button “Menu back”once
Stop here if you want only the work sope menus
otherwise continue ....while still in the Worksope menus...
–Select “Service scope in XXX”with arrow buttons
–Press “O”button on IC, menu “To be Done" appears
–Select “Compl Serv”using + and –buttons
–Confirm with upward arrow (used as enter button)
–“Oil Type”menu appears:
•Select 229.31 or 228.51.....229.51 is not an option
•Confirm with upward arrow button
–Press “O”button on IC for 3
