Luckily enough it was covered by warranty... The spindle valve in the turbo was broken. It was in the shop for 2 WEEKS... they had it all reasembled and then noticed a fluid leak so the had to take it all apart AGAIN.... what a nightmare!
Then i noticed the blower for the heat and A/C wanst working and also there is unusual howling noises from the rear like a bad bearing or something.... and its only got 38000 miles on it.
I wanted one of these vans for ever and now i have it I am not too sure!

Every used vehicle I've ever owned, or experienced via parents, friends or other relatives, has had some kinks to work out under new stewardship.
Take heart. Most of the issues can be resolved with stead-fast determination and information exchange.
I'd take it back to the dealership; let them experience the howling and repair the HVAC system.
Welcome to Sprinter-Source.

I bought a used rig in January 2009. It was a 2006 with only 293,000 miles on it. Since then I have purchased a new windshield, new injector and new vibration dampener. Total cost has been over $3000. Now they tell me that the brakes are down to 30%.
I love the rig. My last truck cost me $5000/year in maintenance every year since it was new. A Dodge Ram. So far this new rig has been cheap.

Dont get frustrated, especially on a used truck. You will drive yourself nuts. Sometimes when they have been sitting at the dealer for weeks and months you need to iron out the kinks is all. Good luck w/ it b/c overall they seem to be good trucks!!

Well, Richard is driving but he shares all the miles because he is rich and has FOUR sprinters so they don't get worked too hard.
All I have is one little BULBASOR! (2004 - original tires).

ok so i took the sprinter back to the dealer and its been gone a week now... there was an oil leak and still waiting to hear what was causing the howling in the rear end. I called around the remaining dodge dealers here in my area ( the ones that are left ) and they all only have 1 guy that can work on sprinters and they are backed up for at least 7~10 days....
I`m getting madder and madder each day

Can only drive one at a time depending which country I'm in.:bounce:
I think we need a combined thread of just how many of those U.S sprinters break down, once they escape the sales lot. way to many complaints of late.
PS Knobby looked after his four potters and even found his way into Bulbasor's spine spindle:shifty:

Bulbasor - what tires do you use? I've replaced mine twice, but then again nearly 200K US miles . . .
