Howdy -
I am always trying to find more places to store things in my Westfalia. And better ways to use those places.
I had already been storing my mosquito netting for the sliding door, the cab area curtains, and some kitchen oven mitts and a kitchen towell in the space under the fridge (accessed via a door below the fridge and behind the large sliding door cabinet ahead of the fridge).
I was finding that those items in that under fridge cabinet not infrequently moved during transit and ended up blocking the sliding door from opening completely. Sometimes this was even a real headache to fix once it had happened.
My solution was to purchase a white "Elfa" brand "Deep Basket" (model #303018 - http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Product.jhtml?CATID=73671&PRODID=71184 - item #10022014 ) and cut the majority of the front of the basket off of the rear to make a strong wall that would still allow me to view items behind it.

I mounted the "retaining wall" with two screws and hooks accessed from the sliding cabinet door. I left a little of the floor of the "wall" on so items would be unlikely to slide under. I also left a portion of the upright portion that wrapped around to the left to allow me to attach the "wall". The right side simply stays loose behind a cover over the fridge mechanicals. In order to fit the "wall" in place I had to remove this cover and then replace it when finished.

This has been working great for me!
