SUBJECT: Idle Instability - Rear A/C Idle Cutout Module Installation
OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves installing a Rear A/C cutout module and inspecting the engine air
filter.
MODELS: 2003 - 2006 (VA) Sprinter
NOTE: This information applies to models equipped with Rear Air Conditioning
SYMPTOM/CONDITION: Some customers may experience idle instability in warm temperatures while using the rear
A/C system.
DISCUSSION:
A rear A/C cutoff kit is available to eliminate idle instability. The kit will temporarily turn the
compressor off when nearing idle RPM and allow it to operate normally while driving.
Additionally, it is important that the engine can breath properly for proper performance and
the Air Filter and housing must be inspected for dirt.
