Hi all,

I'm looking for a new Sprinter, to replace a Sprinter Westfalia recently sold to fund a new home purchase. I'll be building this into a 'light camper' for myself and family.

Anyone know of any high mile NCV3 Sprinters out there yet? I'm looking for a (non-scientific) sampling to give me a sense of overall longevity, specifically in comparison to the T1N Sprinters. I've seen plenty of T1N models with 100K, 200K, 300K, and even 400K on the clock. Admittedly, I don't know what costs and work were involved in getting them there, but clearly the bones are good enough for that kind of longevity.

There are alot of nice deals out there on both new and used vans, but I'm leaning toward a used van to keep overall costs down. The NCV3 is attractive due to the extra inches of width and length inside, but they are obviously less common on the used market than the T1N. Based on my knowledge and experience, I'd have no hesitation buying a T1N with > 100K miles, assuming the maintenance records are there. Any big red flags about a NCV3 with similar miles? Do you expect these will go the distance as well as the older models?

Thanks much!

the only thing that put me off the ncv3 is the fact that they are only a few years old and here in Europe we have some problems with them,
but as you know with time the problems will be ironed out as the model progresses like the t1n had in its time.

when they have the best version on sale what do they do?...............bring out an new model and the "money"cycle starts again.:bash:
