Sorry for the first post of mine asking a question...

I am very happy I found this place.

I have owned my Dodge Sprinter Airstream/Westfalia since 2004, I have 16000 miles and it has been a BLAST!

I was fixing some items today and seem to have lost the central contro(unit where a rearview mirror would be)

It does not turn on, flash, just dead. I was wondering if a fuse controls this and where might I find it? The only fuses I did not check were under the drivers seat....Hmmm

If anybody can help , I would really appreciate it.

Hi MBwestairstream, don't apologize for asking a question.

I don't understand what your central control unit could be -- in place of a rearview mirror. Is this something that was added by Airstream?

No matter what it is, your thought about fuses is a great place to start. Your owners' manuals ought to explain where all the fuses are. You can buy a kit of fuses with a fuse tester for a reasonable price at an auto parts store.

Remember the Westfalia is german engineered. so this part will be different than what we normally see here in the states. A good Airstream dealer may be your best chance for info. Not too many Westys were sold here, but they were great vans. zz

Maybe send a "Private Message" to Zach Woods. He is the Westy guru.
