just picked up my 2008 3500 ext in Kellogg Idaho yesterday. took over 18 months to get this but i love the way i rides compared to my 2500 ext and the bi-xenons are awesome ! I love the motion sensing interior lighting. I need to figure to how to turn off the security alarm so I dont set it off sleeping in the rig <scares the heck out a yah> :-)~

xperia,
would you mind posting your sprinter options and total sprinter cost? i understand if you dont want to because some people dont like to talk private money matters. i thought of ordering one like yours before...flame red, 170" extended 3500 high roof, but with just one sliding door.

the motion sensing interior lights are really handy. its just two sensors (1 front and rear) that i'm sure you can add fairly easily. i'll post my option sheet monday i'm preparing for our yearly Univera convention in seattle this weekend so i'm on the road thrugh monday. msrp was $54k and i paid a tad over $50k. when i ordered this i hadnt learned much about Sprinters but after hanging out here i would add a few more options like power sliders and the auxillary heater. i wanted a mega roof but the dealer said they couldnt order that option. funny when i picked this up another gent was picking up a blue 3500 ext with the color matched mega roof with skylights (msrp was $65k on that baby!)
well i gotta run to a beverage party now but we'll chat later

I like the black rims! Was that an option - or do all the 08's come like that? I kinda hate the rims on my dually and would like to do something like yours.

hi Robert!

I originally ordered bright silver metallic back in 2007 but when i had to re-order for a 2008 I decided to change to the flame red because it draws more people over to my Sprinter to ask what i use it for. I then reply "I'm in the beverage business" and they of course ask "whats the beverage?" and I give them a sample that changes their lives! I must say my white 2007 2500 170" ext draws many lookers as well!

lets face it, EVERYBODY LOVES SPRINTERS :-) :professor:

I really like the dually axle with the extra long cargo body: the two seem very in proportion.

Shame for me that the wheelarch intrusion is even narrower on the NCV3 than it is on the T1N - there's no way most cargo operators could run the new dually axle because of the sub one metre distance inbetween the arches (I think it's 960mm? - unable to take a 100x120 pallet). Hence introduction of super single axle.

I think the main market for the new dually combination is minibus / camper conversions.

Nice to see a red one.

there were numerous additional options i might have wanted but the dealer was unable to select several options while ordering and it would have delayed my order even longer if i wanted to wait for them. i think i would like the mega roof although i really dont need it. as for suspension seats i definateley dont see a need for those since i've now driven over 30k miles all over the western USA and the ride is very smooth. the swivel seat option would be nice but it wasnt an option when i ordered

That is the ultimate van. Man, could I build a bitchen kalifornia motor home out of that.

I think when i am old and rich and tired of off roading I'm gonna get me one of those biggies.
