Hey, got one for you. My dads van as of late has been going into limp home mode quiet often. Yesterday and today 3 times. Nothing shows on the dash, no lights, warnings, etc. I told him, from what I was reading, that his turbo resinator could have a small hole in it, and that could bring it to LHM. But atm, he and I are out of ideas. Could anyone shed a bit of light possibly please?

He has about 12k kilometers on it so far.

Do they have the dreaded turbo resonator problem on the NCV3s?

Is it generating any codes?

What do you mean generating any codes?

What do you mean generating any codes?

Diagnostic Trouble Codes are generated - and stored - by the vehicle's electronic brain.

Historically the dashboard will light up a warning to the driver to check the engine, or something like that, and that's when the code's generated.

Typically, the codes can be read using any scanner that speaks the vehicle's "language."

Some owners have a gizmo called a "scanguage," which can report diagnostic trouble codes.

There are vehicle specific codes and codes which are common to all vehicles of a given year/generation.

PS: AzteK, I don't think - vs know for a fact - that there is enough info in your problem description to form a conclusion. The only recourse I can think of is to take it to a service center for diagnosis. Troubleshooting will include reading the diagnostic trouble codes and executing diagnostic & repair procedures.
