I've used this tool...
4810
...that is claimed to be the original nibbler (by Adel). If my memory serves me right, this looks like the exact same tool that I used about 15 years ago. It's one of those tools that I've used a lot and I've been meaning to get one for my personal stash.
Is there a hand nibbler available now that's better than this that won't break the bank? This tool is around $12.
I need to cut a nice 3.65" hole in the base of my seat. :bounce:
SikWan,
Simple way is to drill small wholes around then use file.
If you want to make a flange cut a whole not exact 3.65" but live -1/4" make it 3.40" then using players and small hammer make it bent of a shape "L" channel. Doing hammer work use a massive pad. The good way is to use two hammers; the small hammer for hammering and a big hammer for pad.

Unik,
you did not make that using just two hammers and a drill.
Looks comfy though.

I may have to do that instead. Much simpler than using nibbler and I still have to file it. Thanks!
What year was that picture taken with you and your bicycle?

Hi Unik,
I saw that picture in your photo gallery and thought at the time that it looked much better than the recumbant bicycles I see riding along the highways... more comfortable and more effective. There's a market for your skill and ingenuity; I hope you are in one.

Klein makes something called a "nibbler." Mytoolstore.com will sell it (http://www.mytoolstore.com/klein/76011b.html) for about $20.00.
