Most of you are already aware that passenger 2500 series Sprinters have a dual leaf rear spring design. It has a softer -empty vehicle -spring rate than the single leaf cargo 2500 spring because the passenger main support leaf is thinner and the second leaf ONLY comes into play under moderate loads. DC lists 3 springs for the 2500 passenger-regardless of wheelbase. The twin leaf comes in 15" wheel and 16" wheel versions-they share same thickness (spring rate) but the 16" version is curved to provide approx. 30-35mm greater overall ride height than the 15" wheel version(which conversely could be used to lower a 16" by the same amount). The third passenger spring version is coded "off-road" and is the single leaf 2500 cargo spring part number! 15" twin leaf part # is 5128484AA, 16" twin leaf is 5128490AA, "off road single leaf(cargo spec) is 5118619AA. Long U bolts for twin leaf conversions is part# 5104070AA. Rubber bump stops come in appropriate lengths for the 15 and 16" version rear springs. BTW-front transverse spring is same part# for all wheel size/wheelbase 2500 passenger Sprinters. Doktor A
