I just got called by the owner to skipper the deliver of Rage from Hawaii to PDX.

They are going to cover my expenses over and during the trip. So I am going to wrap this into a family vacation. Going to use my alaska mile and take the wife and kids and spend 4 or 5 days with them on Oahu before spending 10 days delivering the boat back to PDX.

I will put a good blog post of the whole thing so people can check it out.

Hey Mac, IIRC, you were unemployed with a van that needed all new injectors around this time last year. Funny how things turn around, huh? It's a good reminder how things can turn around.

Either way wife and kids are coming to Hawaii. If I do double handed pac cup probably have them come for the arrival in July. Great party at my old junior sailing stomping grounds Kaneohe Yacht Club.

Well I met with the boat owner on Sunday. This is going to be fun .... and a great learning experience for me. I did have to cancel my delivery of Rage though to minimize my impact on taking time off work.
