Sprinters Grandpa* the 319
First class restauration, turned into a mobile espresso bar.
Seen at my brother's outdoor wedding in Kaltbrunn, Germany.
Cheers
George
*(Ok for you purits maybe Greatuncle is more accurate as:
319 -> Düsseldorfer -> Vario
Hannomag Henschel -> Bremer (T1) -> Sprinter (T1N) -> NCV3.
BTW you can still buy a new T1 Bremer here (http://www.forcemotors.com/html/productdetails.as px?id=96&root=4))

Richard,
Is that the starter PEDAL?
KenB have not a clue ? too old for me to remember:smilewink:
Waht took my notice was the rear engine cover, it's in ABS plastic a remould from the original tin job, very impressed. We have three of these still on the roads in Tassie and they are not wrecks Original but from a distance, they look as new, no rust no dents , dead straight and the star is huge:bow: it stands out as you'd expect from Banz

When are you rolling into my neighborhood with that coffee??
Was that originally a box van? Or did your restauration require cutting and adding?

The colour is called Plum dinger purple. it's an early 70's shade of the psychedelic look.
Now colour me gone with Apple.

It looks better than the one we had temporarily a few years back. This picture actually flatters it! It was horrible, it ran great though. It didn't like not being used though, if you left it sitting for a few days the kingpins seized and it would either refuse to go round corners, or go round the corner and refuse to straighten up. I never decided which of the 2 options was the most frightening.
It got driven to Poland in the end to live out its days and frighten Eastern Europeans. Apparently it never missed a beat right across Yurp!

Hi Everybody:bounce:
If the old 319 of the sixties is the great-grandfather of the Sprinter then this is his father of the Sprinter :laughing:
The emergence of the first Sprinter's models in 1995 been the great leap in quality for Mercedes van's :thumbup:
I found two pictures to remember this 307 model also :smirk:, this was product until the start of 1995:hmmm:Time passes quickly:eek:
but what they did with that in white?:crazy: a sculpture?or it is a fake:thinking:

The white one has to be photochopped. They did a pretty good job at it too.
312...what's with the two door handles on the sliding door?

They all had that, only one had a release mechanism, the other was used to guide the door. They didn't seem to weat the guide rollers anywhere near as badly as the Sprinters do though.
