Hello, I am new, and was trying to learn all about my Interstate before asking for help, BUT -

While on the road yesterday, I raised the temperature on the roof A/C unit because the kids were too cold, and my generator (yes we were running down the road with it) shut down. I waited a few minutes, started back up and got back on the road.

Once we reached our destination, I realized the A/C unit is blowing but not cooling. All of the breakers are good. I haven't started checking fuses because I don't think (but could be wrong) that there are any fuses associated with the compressor. The manual isn't very helpful in this regard!

We are thinking we need to take it in, but on the off chance this might be something we could tinker, we'd really appreciate any ideas. Thanks in advance!

If it's the standard RV type, the compressor has no fuses. These operate with a cold control that cycles the compressor. You could jump this switch as a test. These typically draw 12 to 15 amps (alternating voltage). If the compressor won't run, check the start components.

Thank you! We are taking it in to get checked out, on our return trip home the front A/C stopped cooling and then then the engine acted like it was going to shut down as we slowed to make a turn a few miles from home. Better close to home than in the middle of the desert. I will be sure to post an update once we find out what is going on.
