View Full Version : Window Crank Handles

I can't slide the side shades over the round window crank handles in my new Adventurous. Seems the shaft is too long by maybe 3/8-1/2". And, I can't bend the plastic shade base far enough to allow passage without the risk of breaking it. Didn't think to pull the shades all the way down when looking into buying the unit. But, that would not be a show-stopper, anyway. I could cut the shaft, I guess. But, would rather find a better fix. Anyone encounter this problem? The dealer said he doesn't have a fix. No surprise there. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

You didn't say what year, but mine is a 2008 on a 2007 chassis and it is "very snug", but you can pull it out just enough to bet it by the handle.
Best of luck.

2010. More than snug on mine. For now I pulled all the handles, put caps on the shaft and will put the handle back on when needed. Stick it in the drawer in the meantime.
